Preparing for tomorrow’s family feast, my mind meanders to the good fortune we enjoy in large part due to the amazing people with whom we live and work. Today I offer a follow up to Tuesday’s salute to Pam with an overdue salute to another indispensable member of our team. Thank you, Tony Foster!
Thanksgiving is… first and foremost a ritualized reminder to pause and reflect on everyone for whom we’re grateful and everything for which we’re grateful.

Without a doubt, Tony has earned our gratitude ever since the first day he showed up in the spring of 2021 for help sprinting to the finish line at ADK Oasis Lakeside. Since then he’s never ceased caretaking and nurturing and rehabilitating and building and caring for Rosslyn and ADK Oasis.
Over the last two and a half years Tony has tackled a more diverse range of projects than he could have possibly anticipated when he joined the team. He pairs a wide spanning range of experience with an unequaled enthusiasm for learning new skills. He is curious and inquisitive, deeply disciplined, rigorous in his pursuit of perfection, and endowed with a wealth of integrity. And then there is his work ethic matched with his inimitable physical strength. Tony is exhibit A under mens sana in corpore sano!
At this time of mindful gratitude, I would like to salute Tony with the same exuberant accolades I shared two days ago for Pam.
Susan, Carley, Rosslyn, and I (as well as many others) are the fortunate, grateful beneficiaries [of your dedication and hard work]. Our appreciation rings from the shores of Lake Champlain to the foothills of the Adirondacks.
