Ah, moments like this. A placid lake day inspiring a seasonality sing song. Lake Champlain’s surface silky smooth, disrupted only by the wakes of paddling Canada Geese. Temperatures warm enough to tempt daydreams of spring despite dipping temps (and possibility of precipitation) next week. Bluebird dome above — with just the faintest whisper of cloud like a gossamer train — mirrored on the water. Afternoon sunlight warming an otherwise cool March palette.
“An exceptionally placid day on the lake!” This was my nephew Christoph Aigner’s message with the photo above. While fetching his windsurfing gear from the boathouse, this moment, these Canada Geese, this tranquility and lighting inspired him to record the moment. To share the moment.
Placid Lake, Perfect Day
Perfection. A placid lake day documented. Preserved. Gifted. For me. For you. For family. For Canada Geese. For Lake Champlain. For Rosslyn boathouse. For winter remitting. And for spring insinuating herself.
