This afternoon I came across a clipping from a three year old magazine article. Words of another that might as likely have tumbled from my own tongue. The skinny version: we’re never finished transforming.
Sometimes it’s best to step aside in deference to a more concise, more articulate spokesperson.
“As creative people, we will probably never be finished. I feel like the nature of the artist is to constantly be wanting to transform their space.” — Anna Clark (Source: “A Skinny Brooklyn Townhouse Stacks Spaces for Living, Working, and Entertaining” by Kelly Dawson, Dwell, November 16, 2021)
Home rehabilitation, perhaps a bit like art creation, book writing, etc. is ever evolving, never finished transforming, until we let it go…
What do you think?
