A blurry boathouse brooding over Blood’s Bay… Vintage postcard? B-roll for an old film?
Although this sepia rendering of Rosslyn’s boathouse back on May 20, 2013 feels like it might have been made almost a century ago, it’s relatively new. New in Rosslyn terms, at least. Eleven years ago today.
It’s a reminder that there’s something timeless about this spot. Past and present blur into one another.
With luck this will never change. Historic Essex will permeate today and tomorrow and on and on.
And Rosslyn’s blurry boathouse will endure as a visual bridge across the centuries.
What do you think?
